Are you a PhD-candidate or a post-doctoral fellow, and are you contemplating whether and how to continue your career in or outside academia? Either way, to prepare yourself optimally for the labour market, it is imperative that you identify and recognize your own potential, wishes and possibilities. Join the workshop 'Your career: what's next?'. This Pre-Retreat can be combined with the Genetics Retreat on 4 and 5 May 2023 or taken separately.
The workshop aims to provide:
- a broad perspective on career possibilities & advancement for participants;
- insight into orientation in the job market & planning your professional future;
- help in discovering your passions & to uncover your strengths;
- a boost of your self-confidence & reduce uncertainties you may have;
- access to valuable tools for personal & professional development and skills.
The workshop hosts a selection of young, international speakers, who are willing to share their insights on relevant topics related to the next steps in your career via a series of interactive sessions. This is a preliminary programme, details may still change.

- prof. René Bernards, keynote address on Thursday evening;
- optional: jubilee programme on Thursday, 16.00 - 17.30 hours

- guided abbey tour; - social evening in the arched cellar with a unique surprise on Thursday night;
